IMPORTANT RULES & REMINDERS

Supervision, Childcare & Safety

  • Drop offs are allowed and prompt pick up is required at the end of class.

  • All children and youth in the building during the afternoon will need to be in a registered class or supervised by their parent in a designated childcare space. This will help provide structure, safety, and respect for our building and neighbors.

  • The lobby will be reserved for study or quiet visiting and will NOT be a place for children to play.

  • Youth and children not in a structured class must be actively monitored in a designated classroom or outside. Parents must supervise their own children. Consider arranging carpools for your children in classes, meeting friends at a park, or running errands.

Attendance and Participation

  • Registration and payment are required to attend a class. Class fees pay for supplies and mentor resources, it is unfair to attend without sharing the cost. Registration also helps leaders know that children/youth are in a safe location and where to find them in an emergency.

  • To add or change a class, please contact the Inspirations Director directly. This is to help support the mentors leading Inspirations classes. Age limits and class sizes are selected for various reasons, such as room availability or mentor needs. Please do not approach mentors about making exceptions for your children. It is hard as a mentor to say no to people we care about.

About Younger Children

  • Inspirations classes were designed to provide opportunities for youth to choose to learn new skills and for adults to have a format to teach their passions. Young children have increasingly been included, but they are not the focus of the afternoon classes as they are tired after morning classes and are in the phase where they learn best in the home. We also intentionally have never organized childcare because that would require all parents to take turns watching children, and this program is designed to be an optional.
